Task: Unloading solid wood panels from a double-sided sanding machine and stacking them onto a pallet.
Brief System Description: Solid wood panels of various sizes, after double-sided sanding, are transported and grouped. Using a robot, the panels are transferred onto an empty pallet, and once the required number of products is stacked, the pallet is transported away. The system consists of:
- Roller conveyor system for separating and transporting panels.
- Belt conveyor system for 90° transfer and panel grouping.
- Roller conveyor system for supplying empty pallets to the robot work area.
- Robot with a gripper for transferring panels onto the pallet.
- Chain conveyor system for transporting stacked pallets out of the robot work area.
The roller conveyor system separates panels coming from the sanding machine and creates gaps between them. At the end of the conveyor, panels are transferred at a 90° angle and grouped using the belt conveyors. An empty pallet is delivered to the robot work area via the roller conveyor system. The robot, equipped with a vacuum gripper, transfers the formed layer of products onto the pallet. Once the pallet is fully stacked, it is transported out of the cell using chain conveyors.
